Dva jeftina dodatka – koenzim Q10 i selen – bila su povezana sa smanjenjem kardiovaskularne smrtnosti s 12,6 % na 5,9 % kod starijih Šveđana. Biomarkeri opterećenja srca i ehokardiogrami također su se poboljšali.
